Jesse Brumfield

'Jesse Brumfield the son of David Brumfield and Patience Tallman. In the year 1817 he was associated with Mr. Jacob Horn to learn the Millwright trade (from a letter David Brumfield to Wm. Tallman 29 March 1817). . He married on 14 May 1822 to,Sarah DAVIS They married in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. (near Woodstock) and removed at once to Fairfield County, Ohio where the Tallmans' had gone. They arrived there in June, 1822.

Jesse remained there till 1830 when he removed to Ross County, Ohio, near Kingston. In the year 1836 they again removed to Randolph County, Indiana, Settled in Washington Twp and built a cabin in the woods.

Jesse removed one more time in the year 1853 to Dallas County, Iowa where he acquired considerable land. However he returned to Randolph County, Indiana in the year 1855 and died there and buried in the Liberty Church Cemetery, Washington Twp. Randolph County, Indiana
