Jesse Hopper

Jesse married Martha Stallings on 14 Dec 1810. Martha passed away in 1816. He then married Elizabeth (Betty) (Betsie) Edwards on 13 Dec 1817. Son of Harmon & Sarah (Sally) Cole Hopper.

Jesse's marker was ordered & placed on 2 April 2009 by his 3rd great-grandnephew, Don Sanford. Jesse's 2nd great-granddaughter, May Hopper Noble, kindly furnished Jesse's pension which made it all possible. Cousin Sheila Campbell was in the cemetery when the stone was set and assisted in helping level the marker.

War of 1812, Private under John Brock's Company in the TN Militia. Enlisted 11-8-1814, Discharged 5-18-1815 and served in Alabama.
