Big Timber Pioneer, 18 July 1935 Jesse E. Langston, well-known rancher of Melville, died in a Billings hospital Tuesday morning, where he was taken Monday for treatment after two weeks illness with pneumonia in this city. Deceased was born in Clayton, Georgia, October 15, 1883, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Ira Langston. Leaving there he farmed in Missouri for a short period, coming to Montana about 28 years ago. In 1909 he was married to Dorothy Van Cleve, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Van Cleve of Melville. Besides a widow, he leaves five children and two grandchildren, the children being Mrs. Alice Mahoney of Bozeman, Mont.; Jesse E., Phillip G., Paul V., and Dorothy H Langston, all of Melville. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Mike P. Sullivan of Fish creek, and two brothers, Charles Langston of Portland, Ore., Norris Langston of Harlowton, Mont.
