Jesse B. had at least ten children, and it is hard to say how many were present at his burial. According to John White of Elmira, who took the photo of Jesse's monument, "The Wellsburg Baptist Church burned to the ground about 50 years ago. The church was rebuilt in the likeness of the original church soon after the fire. The fire damaged and charred most of the tombstones in the surrounding churchyard."
