Mrs. Tomlin Death Occurred Monday

Mrs. Jessie Tomlin, 53 years old, wife of C. M. Tomlin, living east of Unionville, Iowa, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Hospital in Centerville. Double pneumonia set in following an operation and caused her death.

Besides her husband she is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Homer Wagner of Ottumwa and Mrs. Dwight Garrison of Chicago; two sons, John Tomlin of Ottumwa and Ralph at home; by three sisters, Mrs. Addie Swaim of Drakesville, Mrs. Ora Harrington of Ottumwa and Mrs. Metta Harrington of Unionville; and by three brothers, J. O. More of Centerville, W. E. More of Des Moines and P. E. More of Unionville.

Short funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday at the home near Unionville. The body was then taken to the Finley Avenue Baptist church in Ottumwa of which she was a member and services held there at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Luther Childs, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Centerville officiated. Burial was made in Ottumwa.
