Birth Date(s): 1635, 1652, 1651
Death Date(s): 1695, 5/10/1691
Also known as Jone, Joanah, and Joanna. Her maiden name is in question. It may have been Lewis, and in that case is likely a daughter of Christopher Lewis. After the death of her husband, Bartholomew, she married Thomas Brookes in Jamestown, Virginia. In a deposition dated April 17, 1693, Johanna stated her age as "about 40 years." It is clear that Johanna had at least one son by her second husband, named Thomas Brookes Jr.
