Joel Perez Robledo, son of Ignacio and Ignacia Perez Robledo born in Montemorelos NL Mexico.
Came to the USA approx age 14, lived in Harlingen Texas. In 1932, married Antonia Cantu , daughter of Rosendo and Francisca Garcia Cantu. They married in the Presbyteria Church building, possibly because this was the larger church building in town. Joel was a Baptist and Antonia was a member of the Church of Christ. Her father Rosendo was a pioneer preacher in the Rio Grande Valley of the Church of Christ.
