Penner, p. 447). He was a member of the Montau Gemeinde. He migrated from Prussia to Russia by 1793 and settled in Kronsgarten, Chortitza, S. Russia in 1793 (P. Rempel, p. 20). In the 1797 Census he is listed in Kronsgarten (P. Rempel, p. 20). In the 1801 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed at Kronsgarten #10. He likely died between 1801 and 1806 since Johann Kauenhowen (b. ca 1778) #197258 was living at his residence in Kronsgarten at the time the 1806 Census was taken (P. Rempel, p. 20).
