Chronik of Village of Ober Johnsdorf reflects that Johann Langer of farm #133 had grain confiscated by Prussians on Jun 21 1866 & Jul 8 1866. Next spring he sold his farm & emigrated to Watertown, WI.

Jan 10 1853, Johann(a?) arrived in NY from Bremen w/7 families of 32 people from Landskron district: John Huebel, Johann Langer & John Stangler families of Rudelsdorf (Rudoltice), Franz Pirkl, Franz Haubenschild & Johann Haubenschild families of Triebitz (Třebovice), & Josef Rössler family of Michelsdorf (Ostrov). Also on board was Franz Gilg family of Nikl (Mikuleč) in neighboring county of Zwittau (Svitavy). Number of these families joined the Jason grp near Waterloo, WI.
