Johanna Lee

Do not confuse Johanna Morton with Jane Morton who was married to another Thomas Lee, son of Fulke Lee. Johanna Morton, daughter of Thomas Morton of Houghton married Thomas Lee, son of John Lee of Coton.

Johanna Morton was born c.1484 in Houghton, Shropshire England. According to noted Lee researcher Casanove Gardner Lee, Jr., the name was spelled both as Morton and Merton in county records. Johanna was the daughter of Thomas Morton. Her mother's name is not known. She married Thomas Lee of Coton. She died c. 1536 at Nordley Regis, Shropshire, England.
