About Johanna Rosenstein
Hannchen Schonholz, the wife of Falk Rosenstein was born in Lutgeneder. That town is VERY close to Borgentreich. All the Shonholz family came from Lutgeneder and they died there. That doesn't mean that they were BURIED there. Apparently the Jews of Lutgeneder were buried somewhere outside the city limits. "
We were out of town, driving through the countryside on little roads. It was grassy everywhere. From time to time, as we were driving, we would see some trees, a short distance off the road. Each time, we pulled off to the side of the road and walked over to where the trees were.
There, beneath the trees were gravestones with Hebrew lettering! It was so quiet and serene.... out in the countryside, nothing around but grass and some dirt roads, and in the midst of it a few trees with jewish gravestones beneath them".
