Johanna Vander Berg, 91, of Sioux Center died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at Sioux Center Community Nursing Facility.

Memorial services will be 10a.m. Saturday at Frist Reformed Church Chapel in Sioux Center,with Rev. Arnold Punt officiating. Burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Vander Berg was born to Adam and Hendricka (Schut) Punt, near Sioux Center,on Nov.5,1911.

She was married to Lawrence Vander Berg on Feb.14,1936. He passed away on Oct. 16, 1992, after 56 years of marriage.

She was a member of Frist Reformed Church.

Survivors include their four children and their spouses, Rev.James and Kathleen Vander Berg of Mahopac, N.Y., Jeanne and Wayne Dykshorn of Ireton,Lois and Gary Owens of Camdenton, Mo., and Ken and Jane of Decorah; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs.John(Ada)Vermeer of Loveland, Colo.; a siter-in-law, Mrs.Martin(Jeanette)Punt of Jacksonville Beach,Fla.; many nieces and nephews.
