enroled at the university of Leipzig from the winter semester of 1524 (graduating in 1530).
"Landschreiber" (title of office for an official in the administration of the Livonian Confederation in the State of the Teutonic Order, roughly equivalent to a Government Secretary and Notary) for Courland/Pilten. At the latest from 1547 he held the position of Landschreiber for the Komturei (Commandery) Goldingen (now Kuldīga, Latvia) (first official mention in 1547).

From 1561 he was owner of a house in Goldingen and liege lord over the „Einfüßling“ (farmer) Gereke Schrundenigk including 6 pieces of land (probably fields) and a pasture - granted by Werner Schall von Bell (1560), former Komtur (Commander) of Goldingen and confirmed by Ordensmeister (Master of the Livonian Order) Gotthard Kettler (1561).
