Johannes "John" Johnsen Stoveren

Mr. Stoveren died Jan. 10 at his home in town of Vance, Barron County, where he had lived for many years.

Born in Ringerike, Norway Dec. 11, 1862. Mr. Stoveren came to the United States when he was 22 years old. He had been baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran faith church in Norway. He was a member and trustee of West Akers church. He was married May 8, 1887, to Christine Hilson in town of Vance Creek.

Surviving are his wife, Christine, and children Julia, Mrs. Earl Field, New Richmond, Annie, Mrs. Annie Christianson Prairie Farm, Mary, Mrs. Mary Torgerson, Turtle Lake, Inga Mrs. John Larson, Nye, Carl Stoveren, New Richmond, Clara Mrs. Frank Thornsjo, Minneapolis, Anton Stoveren, Wheeler; Hanna, Mrs. Archie Malm Minneapolis; Helmer Stoveren Prairie Farm; Hjalmer Stoveren Clear Lake; Anna, Mrs. Will Allram, Nora Mrs. Emil Wirth Prairie Farm, 51 grandchildren 73 great grandchildren. One daughter, Carrie, Mrs. Otto Amundson and two infants preceded him in death.
