John William Alpock (Alpaugh)

lived in Upper Long Valley - Roxbury (now Washington Twp.) Morris Co,. NJ taxed on 200 acres in 1779

. William (another one) Alpough was born about 1736-7 and died 13 Jun 1811 in Upper Long Valley, Roxbury (now Washington) Township in Morris County. In about 1760 he married Elizabeth Sharpenstine (the daughter of Morris Sharpenstine), who was born about 1741 and died 19 Dec 1817.

They had seven children:

• 1) Morris (b. 17 May 1761; d. 1835) married Catherine Rarick.
• 2) Matthias (b. abt 1763; d. 1 Jul 1844) married Elizabeth Rinehart.
• 3) Elizabeth (b. 28 Feb 1766; d. 1836) married John Rarick.
• 4) John (b. abt 1768; d. Mar 1821) married Mary Rarick-Waldorf (a widow?).
• 5) Mary (b. 1770?) married Martin Rinehart.
• 6) William (b. abt 1774; d. 12 Sep 1851) married Patience Larison.
• 7) Peter (b. 1778) married Anna Barbara Aury; they may have moved to Canada.
