Husband of Mary Ann Allen. It is believed that they were married in January 1781 in Lexington, South Carolina, USA.

Father of the following known children: John Frederick, Nancy Rose, Rachel, Stephen, George, Daniel, Anna Catherine and daughter Bamberg.
