She is not the daughter of John Bell and Hannah Jefferson. Hannah's Will names her daughter, Mary Anderson. Mary Bell married John Anderson, II. was born in 1725, in Arnols, Surry county, Virginia, son of James Anderson I and Mary Jordan. Mary's brother John Bell and his wife Phebe Stokes were the godparents of her oldest daughter, Martha Anderson, at her baptism in 1750, in Albemarle Parish, in Surry county, Virginia.
