Roger was the son of John Buswell (born about 1515 in Bosworth, Leichester, England and died before 19 May 1574 in Dishley Grange, Leicester, England) and Elizabeth Hall (born about 1520 and died abt 1553). They were William Henry’s 5x maternal great grandparents. John married Elizabeth Hall about 1540 in Dishley Grange, Leicester, England.

Children from this marriage were:

1. Our Roger Buswell;
2. Thomas Buswell was born about 1541 and died after 1590;
3. William Buswell was born about 1543 and died before 11 April 1607;
4. James Buswell was born about 1547;
5. Elizabeth Buswell was born about 1549 and died after 1573.
