John Boyer Jr. was born in Wartumburg, Germany, Jan 18, 1841, came to Ohio at the age of seven years, and at the age of fifteen came to Iowa, and at the age of twenty years he married Elizabeth Ogle, who died June 5 1864. March 4, 1866, he married Elizabeth Esterday. Eleven children blessed their union. He leaves a wife, eleven children, and eight grandchildren to mourn their loss. Rev. D. Markham conducted the services.
