Notes for John Ewing Brownlee:

John Ewing Brownlee enlisted 23 August 1861 and served in Co. I, 14th Regiment of SC Volunteer Infantry, "McCalla's Rifles," organized in Abbeville County. He was wounded at Frasiers Farm and Chancellorsville. He was discharged 9 April 1865 at Appomattox, VA. John Ewing received a Confederate pension from South Carolina.
