About John Campbell
US Congressman. He studied law and became an attorney in Charles County, Maryland. Campbell held several local offices and also served in the State House of Delegates. From 1792 to 1800 he was a member of the Maryland Senate. In 1800 he was elected to the US House of Representatives as a Federalist and served five terms, 1801 to 1811.
