John George Chancellor

John George Chancellor was born on 27 September 1821 at Lanarkshire, Scotland.
He was the son of Alexander Chancellor and Helen Hamilton Robertson.
He married, firstly, Isabella Adolphus Ross, daughter of Dr. Adolphus McDowall Ross and Catherine Hume, on 23 June 1847.
He married, secondly, Anne Isabella Hare on 20 October 1870.
He married, thirdly, Cecilia Elizabeth Balfour, daughter of James Balfour, on 8 April 1874.
He died on 15 March 1894 at age 72.
He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)
He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)
