John and Stanley were brothers per family sources. John and Stanley's respective marriage records list their father as George Dillis. John's record lists his mother as Catarina Visockis, whereas Stanley's record lists his mother as Catarina Lisauskas. Maybe John's record was incorrect. Other information points to the kinship of John and Stanley. Stanley's marriage record (from 1915) lists his address as 11 Cross Street, Boston. John's son Stephen was born at the same address in 1913 per the birth record.

Per the Boston, Massachusetts, City Directory, 1943, John P Dillis, husband of Mary, died on April 25, 1942. The previous years directory indicated that John and Mary lived at 70 Sudan Street, and that John was employed as a bottler.
