Biographical Summary

"Sir John Drummond Erskine, Baronet [1791], of Torrie, br. and h., being 3d and yst. s. of the 1st Baronet, b. 5 April 1776; was in the Bengal Civil Establishment, 1792, and suc. to the Baronetcy, 3 March 1825. He d. s.p., presumably unm., 30 July 1836, aged 60, in Hanover street, Hanover square, when the Baronetcy became extinct."
