About John Farquhar Farrar, Jr.
He was appointed Captain in the Revolutionary Army from Granville, County, North Carolina by the General Assembly. He was with General Green at the Battle of the Guilford Courthouse, and the Battle of Eutaw Springs in South Carolina. He remained with Gen. Green's command until the end of the war.
He married Elizabeth Lyon (sister of Richard Lyon), in 1752 in Goochland County, Virginia.
