About John Ferguson

John was the first of the family to come to America from north of Ireland, probably Ulster. He was a Protestant "Fundamentalist", revolutionary soldier. He went to Indiana from NC & settled in Union County. Later he moved to Boon County.

5. John5 Ferguson was born January 05, 1748 in York Co. Virginia, (Source: Lebanon Patriot's article of July 6, 1822) and died February 14, 1842 in Boone County Indiana. He married (1)Hannah Barrow 1770 in Stokes, North Carolina, daughter of William Barrow and Amy Lee. She was born 1751 in Brunswick Co. Virginia, and died in 1825. He married (2)Berthena Deacons May 26, 1828 in Indiana.
