Identity of the father of William M Findley unverified.

Footnotes: Some references are given as Adam Findley to be the father of this William M Findley. That has been shown to be incorrect as this son, William, married Martha Wilkes and to have died in 1888, Emanuel County, GA. The William, referenced as son of Adam Findley, is to have married a Martha Beasley and he died in 1861 in Virginia. Subsequently, the children of this William and Martha (Wilkes) Findley are incorrectly given in some references with the other William and Martha (Beasley) Findley. The death certificates of the children list the maiden name of their mother as Martha Wilkes. This has caused confusion in the references.
