John Foley [Marine "Friendship" 1788]

John FOLLY (aka FOLEY) was born c1749

John was a Private in Royal Marines and he arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/1/1788 on "Friendship"

John was sent to Norfolk Island on 4/3/1790 on "Supply" and returned to Sydney on 23/4/1791 on "Supply"

John returned to Norfolk Island on 26/10/1791 on "Atlantic"

John had a relationship with Catherine HEYLAND and they had the following children

• John 1792
• James 1795

John and family went to Van Diemens Land on "Porpoise" on 26/11/1807

After Catherine's death in 1824, John married Anne ? and they had the following children

• daughter

John died in January 1830 at Hobart and was buried 19/1/1830 at St David's, Hobart
