PROVOAN'S FATHER DIES OF STROKE AT HOME IN PRICE

John Andrew Forsyth, 82, of Price, father of Mrs. James (Margaret) Gornichec, Provo, died MOnday at his home after a stroke.

He was born March 2, 1881, in Tooele County, a son of Andrew B. and Emily Elizabeth Moss Forsyth. He married Elsie Clyde in November 1905, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Dec. 6, 1933. He married Lulu Saurers Petersen Aug. 7, 1940, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Mr. Forsyth was a retired plumber.

Surviving besides the daughter from Provo, are his widow, Price; five sons and two other daughters, 28 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at noon in the Price Fourth LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Mitchell Mortuary in Price Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 and Thursday prior to services. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. -The Daily Herald (Provo, UT) Oct 22, 1963

Born March 2, 1881, Tooele County, to Andrew B. and Emily Elizabeth Moss Forsyth. Married Elsie Clyde November, 1905, Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She died Dec.6, 1933. Married Lulu Saurers Petersen Aug. 7, 1940, Salt Lake LDS Temple. Retired plumber. Member LDS Church. LDS mission to Central States, 1902-04.

Survivors: widow; sons, daughters, Sterling C., Richard C., both Salt Lake City; Harold C., Boise, Idaho; Jack C., Helper, Carbon County; Clyde W., Price; Mrs. Atone (Helen) Kochevar, Half Moon Bay, Calif.; Mrs. James (Margaret) Gornichec, PRovo; Ms. Max (Darleen) Crandall, Monrovia, Calif.; 28 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brothers, Grover C., Los Angeles; Stanley C., Caliente, Nev.

Funeral Thursday noon, Price Fourth LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Mitchell Mortuary, Price, Wednesday, 7-9 p.m., Tursday prior to services. Burial Price City Cemtery.
