John Francis Burcham

John was nicknamed "Lurkey John" because he walk with a lurk, or lurch. This was to distinguish him and the other cousins named John from each other- one called "Nasty John", because he always wiped his nose on his shirt sleeve when he was working in the field plowing, or otherwise. The other John, "Nasty John's" father, was called "Slim John" because he was tall and very thin.
