Children: Gentleman of Lincoln 1551 (Slade-Babcock)

Elizabeth 1549 (E173), Robert(R104), Ralph 1559 (R19), Agnes 1560 (A45). Margery 1562 (M385) Comments: five children named - most seemingly of marriageable age which would point to his birth being around circa early 1530’s and his marriage in the early 1550’s. His son Robert (R104) married Ann Cockson of Pittington in 1583 and had issue so the Robert who died in 1587 was definitely not his son and that proves that there were two Ironside families living in HLS during the 16th century. His widow Margaret married John SHORT of HLS the following year. His widowed daughter Agnes Wilson married William LAX(E) also in 1582 and had a son Ralph LAX and was a Rector of Frome St.Quentin, Dorset in 1660. He is mentioned in Agnes’ brother Ralph’s will as Kinsman Raph LACKE [LAXE%29 [ m. Kastrin BARTLET at Litton Cheney 1615]. JS 2010. Sources
