John "Jack" George Bechtold

John was a union plumber. Lived in Pittsburgh and moved with Carol (2nd wife) to Port St. Lucie, Florida (where Lori was born). John was laid off from his plumbing job about 2-3 years later. He could not find a job that paid enough and they decided to move back to Pittsburgh. Carol and Lori stayed behind to close on their house while John drove back to live with his brother Harry in Pittsburgh on Lowell Drive. About half way through his trip back, his brother Harry had a fatal heart attack. John and Carol decided to stay at Lowell Drive and remodel the home. John died of a fatal heart attack shortly before the addition was finished. Lori was 4 years old at the time.

John is buried in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park located on Route 30 in North Versailles.
