John Jacob Bickel

One of 7 sons of Tobias Bickel Sr of whom 6 are know to have been Rev War soldiers including this Jacob. There was also another Jacob Bickel whom was also a soldier. This Jacob married Maria Magdalena Ulrich who died at the age of 92. Both are buried at the "old Lutherine and Reformed cemetery" in Kratzerville PA. He was the first person buried there. This Jacob Bickel was in Lt John Colmans Rangers, and in Captains John Snyders company (with his brothers John, Tobias Jr, Simon) and Capt Michael Weavers Company with brother Thomas , all of which were part of Northumberland County organized Malitia above from Snyder County Pioneers by Charles Fisher 1938 (page 8-9) Dec 2012-he is across the street at United church of christ Kratzerville , not at Zion Kratzerville, but the name was zion yrs ago now the other church is also called Zion, ty
