John (Jowett), bapt. (Bradford) 24 Nov. 1639. He is probably to be identified with John Jewett of Rowley, Mass., who m. (1) 2 Apr. 1661 Elizabeth Cummings (who d. at Ipswich, Mass., 9 July 1679, daughter of Isaac Cummings of Topsfield); m. (2) Elizabeth (How) Chadwell, widow of Benjamin Chadwell of Lynn and daughter of Joseph How. (Thirteen children, treated in detail in Blodgette and Jewett, and in the Jewett Genealogy.)
