Found in film of book, "The Jobe Family," by Miss Katherine Reynolds, Vol. 1, Published in 1969;Will at West Chester, PA., Will Book 1, pg. 140, proven nov 13th 1722. His administration papers were #154, administration Docket #407.Arrived in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1650 from Kent, England. Ref. Sharpless Family by Cope, page 321; colonial and Revolutionary Families of PA. by Wilfred Jordon, pg 281. they had a son Andrew born on ship. In 1702 Andrew represented Chester County in Provincial Assembly. In 1704 he moved to Nottingham in the lower part of the County. West Nottingham is in Cecil County, MA and East Nottingham is in Chester County.

Andrew Jobe established the first tavern in Nottingham, on lot #35 in 1710. He was made Justice of the Peace, July 4th 1718. He and his family were members of the Society of Friends, and he was Secretary of that society at one time. His family belonged to the meeting called "Brick Meeting House", as the bricks were brought from England to build this house of worship. This Meeting house is now called Calvert, and is at Calvert Maryland. Andrew died in Nottingham on April 5th 1722. His will is on file at West Chester, PA. Will Book 1, page 140, proven Nov. 13, 1722. Beneficiaries were: sons Jacob, Abraham, Enoch, Thomas, Caleb and grandson Nathan White.
