John Jones

I've scoured the Jones family of Virginia records trying to find his place in the tree.

I cannot find a John Jones listed who is married to a Hughes. However, it could have been a first or second marriage in addition to another wife listed. More research is needed.

He may have been either the son of Peter Jones II:

John Armstrong W. Jones 1700-1798, listed as married to Frances Randolph

or the son of Peter Jones III:

John Thomas Jones 1735-1819, listed as marrying Martha Redford in 1761. If Mary Ann and Harrison were born prior to 1761, his marriage to Sarah Hughes may have been a first marriage.

In addition to Peter Jones II and III, the other Peter Jones of the right generation was Peter Jones, though he is not listed as having a son named John.
