<p style="text-align: justify;">John Keenahan, a farmer from Ballincanty and was married to Ellen Leonard.</p> e: initial; text-decoration-color: initial; word-spacing: 0px;">Ellen was a widow and had been previously married to Timothy Finne from Garrally on the 05 Feb 1857 in Killoughy. Tragically Timothy Finne died just one month later on the 03 March 1857. Mary married William Beahan, a farmer from Sconce on the 26 January 1882 in Mount Bolus church. William and Mary had 12 children with 10 surviving (Patrick, Mary Ellen, Bridget, Annie, Sarah, Lawrence, John, Charles, Elizabeth and Kathleen). Bridget married Michael Mahon from Cooldorragh on the 16 May 1891 in Frankford church. Michael and Bridget had 14 children with 12 surviving by 1911 (Rose Anne, John, Nellie, Bridget died on 25 May 1906 of tuberculosis aged 11, Mary, Patrick, Michael, Elizabeth, Greta, James, Katie, Thomas – died in 1906 aged 1 of broncho pneumonia, Bridget and Annie). Ellen was living in Ballynacanty with her sons Michael and Thomas in a three roomed thatched cottage with seven outbuildings including two stables, a cow house, a calf house, a piggery, a barn and a shed. By 1911 Ellen had died and only her son Michael was living in Ballynacanty.</p>
