<p>This person was created through the import of PittsPenn_2010-09-21.ged on 22 September 2010.</p><p>"John W. LEAP, 2nd child of John Wesley Leap and Margaret Crow. Born in Eastern VA about 1786; died on Howard Allen Farm on Moorefield Road, Vevay, Indiana. John weighed about 180 lbs., had brown eyes, was a farmer and mechanic. He emigrated to Indiana early and lived on White River but ague and fever was so bad that he moved back to Wetzel Co., W. VA. When he moved back to Indiana, he went to Switzerland Co., Indiana. He was married to Mahala Wise, cousin of Gov. Wise who pronounced death sentence on Brown at Harper's Ferry. She died in Switzerland Co., Indiana of cholera." Source; K Leap, 3/8/2013
