John Lee, third son, was namedin his father Thomas Lee’s 1733 Will:
… Item, I give and bequeath unto son John all that tract of Land on ye head of Corrotoman River which I had by my wife where Harvey now lives to him and the heirs of his body Lawfully begotten for ever Provided the Child my wife goes with be not a boy which if it be then my will is that the sd. Land be Equally Divided between them and the heirs of their Bodys Lawfully begotten for ever. …
The name of Thomas Lee's wife is not known [from his will]. His children, all minors in 1733, were named in his will and in that of his second son, Thomas in 1758, with these exceptions: William, the eldest, and Richard, the third sons, are omitted, and a daughter, Elizabeth, is added; she must have been born after the making of her father's will.
