'John Lord moved to Stafford County, Va., in 1691. The exact date of his death is unknown but apparently he died shortly thereafter as his [third] wife [Elizabeth Vincent] is mentioned as a widow in 1692.'

NOTE: The authors of Great Migration (4:333) do not appear to be convinced that the John Lord of Westmoreland County, Virginia in 1651 (Lord Gen, p. 360), who married Elizabeth Vincent in Virginia, was the John Lord from Hartford
