John Morris Lunde

John Morris Lunde was born on July 11, 1946 to Morris and Hildegard Ann (Foertsch) Lunde in Fergus Falls, MN. John was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. He graduated from the Fergus Falls High School and continued his education at F.F.C.C.

John was united in marriage to Carol Johnson in 1967. John was united in marriage to Georgia Blomer in 1985. John was a lifelong Fergus Falls resident.l He owned and operated Lunde's Cafe and was a long-time caterer in food service. Throughout the years, John worked at various places including Ringdahl Ambulance Service, as a realtor, and he worked many years for various auctioneers. Most recently John ran the cafe at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Fergus Falls.

John was a member of Jaycees, was active in Scouting, and was recently named an Honorary Kiwanian. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially spear fishing on Star Lake. He also enjoyed gardening and was a true woodsman who loved all things outdoors.

On Tuesday, October 13, 2009, John passed away at his home under the care of his family and Lakeland Hospice He died at the age of 63 years.

John is survived by his wife, Georgia; four sons, Joel (Angi) of Allen, TX, Eric of Moorhead, MN, Matthew (Carrie) of Wadena, MN, and Mark (Nicole) of Baxter, MN; seven grandchildren, Nickolas Fronning, Austin Peters, Carson Peters, Alex Lunde, Mark Lunde Jr., Evan Lunde and Julia Lunde; three sisters, Arlene (Jim) Worner of Fergus Falls, MN, Joann (Lee) Holzer of Coeur d' Alene, ID, and Connie (Ron) Neuman of Rochster, MN; and one brother, Jim (Sue) Lunde of Janesville, CA; mother-in-law, Alice Blomer of Hoffman, MN; brothers-in-law, Michael Blomer of Hoffman, MN and John (Jean) Blomer of Kensington, MN; and sisters-in-law, Linda (Myron) Quaal of Verndale, MN, Shirley (Bruce) Wicklund of Kensington, MN and Sandi (Jeff) Lee of Barrett, MN. Also survived by his special kitty, Elvis.

He was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Hildegard; and father-in-law, John Blomer.
