John Maltravers of Lytchet Maltravers was of Lytchett Matravers at Dorset, England. He was born circa 1179?. He was the son of John Maltravers of Wellcombe and Alice FitzGeoffrey.1,2 John Maltravers of Lytchet Maltravers sued his stepmother, Alice de Bendeville, and her new husband, Walter de Turberville, for certain belongings of his late father in 1200 at summer.2 He married Hawise (?). John Maltravers of Lytchet Maltravers was a knight of William, Earl Marshal, between 1207 and 1219.2 He took part with the Barons in 1215.2 He returned to his allegiance in 1217.2 He died before December 1220.2
