About John McDuffee McAfee
A farmer. He migrated to Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland with a friend, William McQuigg, when they both were young men probably in the 1750's from Islay, Co. Argyll, Scotland. Presbyterian and descendant of Scots Convenanters. His birthdate and death date are estimations. His burial is believed in Saint Cuthberts but this could be in error. I believe that Mathew McDuffee buried in this cemetery is likely John's son based off of info I have.
Armigerous clan (McAfee / McDuffee):
Jerry A. McAfee's coat of arms registered by the US Heraldic Registry on December 7th, 2014, Registration No. 20141207A, in honor of his 4th great grandfather, John McDuffee McAfee.
