Tradition has it that John and Sarah Minor came to IL about 1830 (not later) under adverse circumstances, that they came afoot, subsisting largely on parched corn while on the journey,along with all of their young children. They settled in the extreme south east corner of Hamilton Co.,IL.
Rumor also has it that Sarah Davis was a full blooded Cherkee Indian. All of the Minor's have Black, straight hair. I have no proof of this.
