Military History:
American Revolutionary War:
John Roberts served at a Member of the Green Mountain Boys under the Command of Ebenezer Allen. He was with Allen at the Capture of Fort Ticonderoga May 10, 1775.
Later he enlisted for a Three Year term, February 19, 1777 at Manchester, Vermont. Serving under Captain Gideon Brownson's Company, Colonel Seth Warner's Continental Regiment. In this unit he Served as a Drummer.
During that 3 year term of service he was engaged at the Battles of Hubbardton, Bennington and at the surrender of Burgoyne (at Saratoga).
