JOHN (JACK) RICHARD SANFORD Peacefully, on Friday, July 16, 2010; Jack died at Crystal City Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 83 years. Remaining to forever cherish Jack's memory are his wife Donna who shared 55 wonderful years of marriage; son Guy (Diane); grandson Michael (Jessica); great-grandsons, Victor and Max Sanford. Also mourning Jack's passing are his sisters-in-law Fay (Ken) McCannell, Carol (Doug) Reynolds, Suzanne Hillman and other extended family. Jack and Donna shared a love of adventure and thrived on new experiences. Jack worked at many different jobs over the years as he moved from one venture to the next. After many years in Winnipeg, 10 happy years were spent on their hobby farm at Oak Bluff where they greatly enjoyed hosting school farm tours. Four years were spent in Lake Cowichan, BC exploring Vancouver Island and three years ago they purchased their current home in Pilot Mound. Travels included cruises, winters in Texas, trips to the UK, Mexico and Cuba but his favourite was a six-week camper trip to Alaska and the Yukon. Jack had unlimited patience and his passion was fixing things which he did willingly for family and friends. In compliance with Jack's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. A gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pilot Mound Millennium Recreation Complex c/o Box 39, Pilot Mound, R0G 1P0.
