25. John /4, Scovill {John /3, John /2, John /1), born Oct. 27, 1738, at Waterbury; died Sept. 15, 1807, at Woodbury, Connecticut; married Sept. 14, 1763, Ann Barnes, born May 28, 1734, at Waterbury; died June 20, 1815, at Woodbury, daughter of Samuel and Mary (Johnson) Barnes.

John Scovill settled at Woodbury at date not found. He was in Captain Eldad Lewis's Company of Col. Whiting's Regiment from March to December, 1762, and later a Revolutionary soldier. He and his wife were buried at Woodbury and probably were Episcopalians.
