No record of his marriage or of wife's maiden name. On 8/28/1648, John's wife (Ane) was admitted to the church and children, John, Nathaniel, and Lydia were baptized.
In 1655 Shepley disposed of his lands in Wenham and moved to Chelmsford. Children, aged about 19, 15 and 13 were baptized in Chelmsford. History of Chelmsford states John Shepley was one of 22 proprietors, owning 18 acres.
