John South

He migrated from England with his wife in 1653 and settled in Hagerstown, Maryland. No children are known at that point. The family descendants then moved to Virginia, Kentucky and Middlesex, NJ. The Souths descend from a Robert Devereaux, who changed his name to South c. 1240 in Nottinghamshire, Engand. He is listed in the Domesday Book of Norman descendants.
