About John Charles Stalcop

John Johansson Stalcop was born in 1662.2 He was the son of Gunner Johan Andersson Stalcop and Christina Carlsdotter.1 John Johansson Stalcop witnessed the will of Gunner Johan Andersson Stalcop on 29 August 1679; His will made bequests to his wife, Christina Carlsdotter, and seven children.3 John Johansson Stalcop was naturalized in 1683 at New Castle County, Delaware; Naturalized by William Penn.1 He played a large role in the building of Holy Trinity (Old Swedes') Church by providing some of the land (inherited from his father) where the church is built after 1685 at Delaware.2 He married Annika Ericksson, daughter of Johan Ericksson, before 15 November 1687.2,1 John Johansson Stalcop was given the title to his father-in-laws plantation on 3 July 1689 at Lucas Point (now Carneys Point), Salem County, New Jersey.1

In 1693, John Johansson Stalcop was Head of Household on the census at Lucas Point (now Carneys Point), Salem County, New Jersey, Details provided: Member of Crane Hook Congregation. Owned 183 acres..1

He reaquired the one-fourth of the original Christina plantation (500 acres) which had been sold to Lars Corneliusson on 10 May 1693 at Christina, New Castle County, Delaware.4 He sold some 250 acres of land to the church for a glebe before 1700.2 He left a will on 1 July 1700; Named his wife and four children.1 He died in July 1700 at age 38 years. An unexpected death.2,1

Carl Johansson Stalcop was born in 1658 at New Castle County, Delaware.2,1 He was the son of Gunner Johan Andersson Stalcop and Christina Carlsdotter. Carl Johansson Stalcop witnessed the will of Gunner Johan Andersson Stalcop on 29 August 1679; His will made bequests to his wife, Christina Carlsdotter, and seven children.3 Carl Johansson Stalcop died before 18 July 1692 at New Castle County, Delaware. He died unmarried, living on the family plantation with his mother and brother, Jonas.2,1 His estate was probated on 18 July 1692 at Delaware.1
